Flexible schedules, evolving workforce, retention challenges… Today’s managers are working harder than ever trying to take care of their teams and still accomplishing the work that needs to be done. While trying to get everything done, it is easy to forget about yourself. However, as a manager, if you deplete your own resources (mentally, physically, or emotionally), there’s nothing left for you to support and guide your team.
There’s a reason why airplane passengers are taught to secure their own masks first, before helping others. In this session, we’ll apply those principles towards bettering yourself as a manager, and in turn, your team. Learn how to prioritize effectively using the Eisenhower Matrix, master SWOT analysis techniques, and discover the competencies needed for successful leadership. You’ll also spend time developing self-leadership skills to influence your own thinking, behavior, and emotions to achieve your objectives. All of this will help you set healthy boundaries to lead by example.
