Finance for Non-Financial Managers walks through financial information on income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements, and discusses common types of budgeting, so that non-financial managers will have a better understanding of what drives their organization’s bottom line.
Learning Objectives:
– Define financial terms, such as revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, operating and net income, depreciation, and amortization.
– Interpret the financial information found on income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
– Identify, measure, and incorporate risk and return into capital budgeting decisions.
– Describe the common types of budgeting and the differences between each type.
NOTE: Participants will need computers/laptops with Microsoft Excel installed in order to complete the course activities.
