In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, effective supply chain management and procurement are more essential than ever for organizational success. The ability to secure effective terms in supply agreements and negotiate strategically with suppliers can significantly help provide value and competitive advantage to a company.
This workshop will cover the principles of supply agreements and supplier negotiations. It is designed to provide an understanding of the legal concepts and considerations, contract elements, contract types, and supplier performance management to contracts. Critical components of a strong contract will be better understood and applied to create a win-win agreement outcome both in the short term and long term with supplier partners.
This workshop is also designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge, skills, strategies, and practical insights needed to successfully engage in and complete supply agreement negotiations. The workshop will cover how to productively enter into negotiations and develop a collaborative process with other parties. It will provide guidance on how to manage combative or contentious negotiations while not damaging the relationship. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and role-playing exercises, participants will gain hands-on experience and actionable tactics that can be applied in supply negotiations for scenarios they may encounter with suppliers.
